As soon as I turned on my Silver Seducer Classic Vibrator I knew we were going to be friends! Such deep, rumbly, delicious vibrations along a smooth, sleek, shiny shaft; 6 inches of pure joy.
Classic Vibrators, originally called personal vibrators were the first vibrators to be openly marketed as sex toys back in the 1970s. We’ve come a long way since then, but these smooth, sleek non-intimidating insertable toys still have a place in todays sex toy market. They are perfect for beginners, easy to operate and often slim for easy insertion. Although they might not have all the bells and whistles a lot of modern sex toys have, there’s something to be said for their understated beauty and functionality. They also tend to be on the cheaper side of things, with this one from Lovehoney only setting you back £16.99 at full price.
The silver seducer comes packaged in Lovehoney‘s simple, modern packaging, in a long cardboard box, just bigger than the toy itself, with clear concise operating instructions. I loved how shiny this classic vibrator is, it’s made of such a high-polish gleaming silver plastic that I can see my face in it! The material is a hard, very smooth plastic, there’s no friction at all on this toy, perfect for easy insertion. It’s also waterproof and super easy to clean, no nooks and crannies for lube to get stuck in!
To operate it, you just unscrew the base, add two AA batteries, and screw it back on. Then you twist the very lower part of the toy, and those delicious vibrations will start. I’m a big fan of intensity control, so I love how you can slowly amp up those vibrations by twisting the base. However, as it is only the very lower part of this toy that controls the intensity, it can be difficult to operate for two reasons. One is that such a small area is difficult to grasp, particularly if you have lube on your fingers. The other is that if you twist the base too high up you will accidentally open the battery compartment and the whole toy will switch off; not ideal. So you need to be careful.
The vibrations are really deep and rumbly, which I find perfect for internal stimulation. Because the toy is made of a hard skin safe plastic there is nothing at all to dull or muffle the vibrations, meaning you get a lot of power out of this toy. The vibrator is also 6 inches long, which I find can fill me up completely. I’ve used this toy in 3 different ways so far, all with fantastic orgasmic success!
My favourite way is DIY rabbit (something I love to do because you get to control two vibrators independently, and can direct the vibrations to exactly where you need them, something not always possible with an actual rabbit), where I inserted the Silver Seducer vaginally and used my Lovehoney magic bullet on my clit. These two vibes also look great together as the are both super shiny silver. The deep internal vibrations from Silver Seducer really amped up the pleasure for me, and along with the bullet, lead to a long and explosive blended orgasm!
I also used the classic vibrator by itself, for an amazing G-spot orgasm. Rather than moving the vibrator in and out (something that doesn’t really work given this toy is so smooth), I moved the end up and down (i.e. towards the front and back of the vaginal wall) to push the vibe into my G-spot. This slowly built up to orgasmic amazingness I long to repeat.
Finally, I’ve used the classic vibrator alone on my clit, with orgasmic results, but I prefer more precise stimulation for clitoral orgasms. For me, using a larger area like this on my clit meant I couldn’t precisely direct the vibrations where I needed them, so although I did eventually come, it was a long and not very satisfying process. However, some women love having a larger surface area of vibrations for external stimulation, so this toy may work better for them.
Overall, I would highly recommend this toy to anyone who’s a fan of deep, rumbly internal vibrations with a low price tag and likes to able to slowly amp up the speed. I particularly recommend a classic vibrator to someone who is new to insertable toys and wants a non-intimidating, friction-free introduction.
