The Honey 1 vibrating G-spot (and P-spot) dildo is perfect for those who like a shorter toy but still want a decent amount of girth! So often the smaller toys are also slim, which is not great for those of us who want a fuller feeling. This dildo is also truly versatile, its suitable for vaginal and anal play, it’s shape is tailored to apply pressure to the G-spot or the P-spot, and it’s flared heart-shaped base makes it harness compatible for pegging or strap on play. You can also use it with or without the bullet vibrator, depending on if you would like vibrations or not. All of these options for a RRP of £36 make it a pretty good deal.
The Honey 1 comes in a white cardboard box with a clear plastic front through which you can see the dildo. The whole thing is shrink wrapped to keep it together during transit (I guess). My dildo and bullet were rattling around in the box, and I’m not sure if this is how they are supposed to travel or if something had come dislodged in the post. However, there was no damage done. The Sh! team also included a sachet of their own brand water-based lube within the parcel, which I think was a really nice touch as it allows you to get started right away.
The dildo is made from a seamless silicone, like all Sh! toys the material is hypoallergenic, non-porous and can be properly sterilized, hurrah! I requested the black version of the Honey 1, as it’s more to my taste, but is also comes in a fun bright blue colour. The particular silicone is rubbery in texture, its slightly shiny and has a lot of squish to it.The cut of the silicone is a little rough around the edges of the heart shaped based. Being rubber-like, it also has a lot of friction to being pushed along skin, so lots of water-based lube is a must! In use I actually had to stop and reapply lube, so be prepared to do this if you feel any unwanted friction.
As is often the case with silicone, this toy is a real dust magnet! You can see this in the pictures, which I took after removing the toy from it’s packet, before use. It would’ve been nice if a storage bag was included to help keep it dust free, but as it wasn’t I would recommend getting one separately.
As I’ve already mentioned the Honey 1 Dildo is pretty short, at only 4.75inches long. It also has a good amount of girth to it, with a 1.5 inch diameter of the shaft which is slightly wider at the bottom. It has a rounded blunt head, which means it has a large surface area; perfect for finding the G-spot. The shape of the shaft is designed for G-spot or P-spot stimulation; that slight hook shape is perfect for applying pressure to the front wall of the vagina or anus.
The toy comes with a single-speed bullet from Sh!. To turn on the bullet all you do is twist the lower part closed, so that it makes contact with the batteries (provided). Similarly to turn it off you just unscrew the base a little until it stops. The bullet doesn’t look like much, and the dildo is pretty girthy, so I was skeptical about the bullet’s ability to make to dildo vibrate. However, the vibrations are really powerful and strong and travel all the way to the end of the dildo. They are off the high-pitched extremely fast buzzy variety. If you’re after some deep rumbly vibes, this is not the bullet for you. There is nothing to stop you from using the bullet of your choice in the dildo, if it is the right size, and the dildo has plenty of stretch to it so you could probably fit in something a little bigger with the aid of lube.
The bullet fits perfectly in the hole in the base of the dildo, when it is inserted fully it sits completely flush to the the heart shaped based. This means it can be comfortably used in a harness without any annoying bullet pushing against the wearer, and it also means you can put the toy down flat to ride it if you wish. However, the slight problem is that you need to twist the base of the bullet to turn it on, which is impossible to do once it’s inserted. It’s not too much of an issue, though, as you can just twist it on before insertion, but it does make things a little tricky if you’re not used to it.
In use, I found this toy a fantastic G-spot dildo. I love the extra girth and how the shape easily finds my G-spot. The larger base is easy to hold on to, so I can thrust it inside, and I could also put it flat against the bed and lower myself on to it to ride / grind against it, hands free. This was my favourite position because it meant I could control a clit vibrator at the same time, which lead to a fantastic orgasm. However, alone, this dildo is not enough to make me come. This is largely due to it being flexible; I need quite a lot of pressure on my G-spot to orgasm from stimulating it alone, so generally more solid toys work better for me. I also prefer a pulsating vibration pattern for G-spot work, and the high pitched buzzy bullet, although powerful, didn’t do much for me internally. Saying that, when paired with a clitoral vibe, this toy did a great job of adding an extra level of pleasure leading to a more intense orgasm, definitely an act work repeating!
In summary, this short, girthy, dildo is made of a good-quality material, and has a whole host of potential uses, making it one of the most versatile toys I own. The bullet it comes with is single speed, yet very powerful and of the buzzy variety. In use, it does a great job at G-spot stimulation and definitely enhances my orgasm when paired with a good clit vibe. Alone, however, the pressure just isn’t enough to reach climax, despite my best efforts.
