The bubbles butt plug from rocks off is a novel introduction to anal play. Rather than the straight, narrow and teeny tiny butt plugs I have encountered for beginners, bubbles takes the graduated approach of  anal beads and turns it into a highly enjoyable vibrating butt plug. The benefits are plentiful; you can enjoy the sensation of slowly inserting and removing the three gradated bubbles to find out if you’d enjoy anal beads, you can enjoy it simply as a butt plug, with or without vibrations (although I highly recommend you always have the bullet inserted into its sleeve as it acts as an extra safety measure to stop the plug from going further than you’d like it to), and for complete beginners the first bead is absolutely tiny and you can build up to the larger beads comfortably. It also comes with rocks off’s fantastic 80mm bullet vibrator which you can use independently to the anal toy. All of this for a RRP of £20 is a pretty damn good deal.

Bubbles comes packaged in Rocks Off’s signature packaging; a classy black and gold cardboard box with the toy showcased in the centre. On the back there is a simple description of the toy and symbols indicating it is waterproof, has a battery included and has 7 patterns of vibration. The box is easy to open and the toy is incased in clear plastic, which you can easily pull apart. Make sure you check behind the cardboard sleeve at the back because this is where you will find a little product booklet containing care instructions, a catalogue of all of rocks off’s toys and your six month warranty code!

Taking bubbles out of the packet I can feel it is a really high quality product. The silicone is is made from is velvety soft and completely seamless. I can’t find a single imperfection in it, a sign of true quality. It’s got rocks off logo and detailing in a petal like design on the flared base which I think is really pretty. It’s a deep rich purple colour which drips luxury and goes beautifully with the gold head of the bullet.

The bullet is made from a hard plastic and it fits perfectly into it’s silicone sleeve (you can add a little lube to the bullet if you are having difficulty getting it back into the sleeve). It comes with a battery included, all you have to do is screw off the top, take out a circle tab of cardboard that is on top of the battery, then screw it all back together. I know from previous experience with this bullet that the little N sized batteries it takes run down quickly if left in the bullet, and they can be tricky to find, so I highly recommend removing the battery after every use and putting it somewhere safe. By doing this the battery can last months, even with semi regular use. I’m already a big fan of the RO 80mm bullet; it delivers fairly rumbly powerful vibrations in a very small package, it’s waterproof, has a tapered tip for precise stimulation, and a host of interesting patterns. In fact the only thing I dislike about it is the batteries it takes (which is why I upgraded to the fully rechargeable rocks off ignition bullet, which is also compatible with bubbles, I tried it). In use it feels absolutely amazing, and is so versatile! To start off I turned on the bullet and was pleased to find its rumbly vibrations travel all the way to the end of the toy, although the silicone does dilute them a little. I used the small soft end of the toy to tease my clit as a warm up, something which felt really nice and did get me nice and aroused. I then tried inserting all the bubbles into my vagina so that the bullet stimulated my labia and just under my clit. This also felt good, and I found I had to grip with my kegel muscles to keep it from popping out. In this way I had a good kegel work out that felt really great (much more fun than my ben waa balls).

Fully warmed up, I moved on to the main event; what this toy is intended for. I covered bubbles and myself in lots of thick water based lube and pressed its vibrating tip against my anus. The first bubble is so small it slipped inside without me even feeling it! The second one was almost as easy. The last one was a bit of a push, but I concentrated on relaxing and breathing out and it comfortably moved in. The neck of the toy is fairly narrow so it is a very comfortable toy to wear, particularly for anal beginners like myself. The size of the base and its T-shape made me feel confident that this toy isn’t going to travel.

Once in place the butt plug felt amazing; the vibrations stimulated my anus and perineum and I could feel my body contracting and releasing in response. I lay back and enjoyed the sensation, and I must say I think this is the closest I’ve ever come to orgasming without clitoral or g-spot stimulation. Doubting anal stimulation would get me there alone, I then used my Satisfyer Pro2 on my clit in addition, and something interesting happened. Although I was definitely aware that my clit was being stimulated, all the intense sensation that was building to orgasm seemed to be focused around my anus and the bubbles toy. It probably took less than two minutes from turning on the Satisfyer to a really intense , vocal orgasm, and I could feel my anal muscles spasming in response. Bubbles felt fantastic through the whole ordeal; it felt like it was moving inside me as I was coming. I thought my body was pushing it out, and I was surprised to find it securely still in place when I had finished. I think the fact that it has a narrow neck that’s pretty long and much smaller than the largest bubble helped it remain secure.

Clean up is really easy because everything is fully waterproof, so you can give it a good scrub. Silicone is the best material to make a butt plug from; it’s non porous and can be fully sterilized so you can keep your toy fully hygienic. Although I like the look of rocks off’s detailing on the base of the plug and side of the bullet, it does make it a little more tricky to clean up, as lube gets stuck in it. As with all silicone toys, bubbles is a bit of a dust magnet, and rocks off do not provide a satin storage bag, so I highly recommend picking one up to keep bubbles dust free and clean between uses.

Overall the petite sensations bubbles butt plug is a fantastic beginners butt plug. It looks great, the high grade silicone feels fantastic and can be properly cleaned, and the graduated beads offer interesting and new sensations. It’s really reasonably priced and comes with a brilliant bullet which is water proof and can be used independently. The shape is something a little different to the usual beginners butt plugs, and it’s both easy to insert and comfortable to wear. Most importantly, it feels amazing in use and really added something special to my orgasm. I’m looking forward to incorporating it into new and exciting sexual sessions.
