I love it when a company looks at their product, listens to feedback, and then tries to improve it. In the sex toy world this is especially important. What I love about Rocks-Off is they already had a fantastic, affordable, discreet bullet, the RO-80mm. I’ve you’ve read my review of it already, you’ll know it was one of my first vibrators, and that I absolutely love it except for one small thing: the tiny, hard to find batteries it takes. I wasn’t the only sex toy reviewer and customer complaining about these little N-sized batteries. However, I am pleased to announce Rocks-Off have created an alternative to the RO-80mm. Enter Rock-Off’s brand new beginner’s bullet: the RO-90mm!
Unlike it’s predecessor, the RO-90mm takes a single AAA battery, which as easy to find and cheap. Hurrah! Triple As are bigger than N-sized batteries so the RO-90mm is also bigger than the RO-80mm (10mm longer, to be precise), with a more rounded head. At the moment you can get the RO-90mm in 3 colours, the rose gold (my personal choice and the one photographed here), silver and gold. Accented with a black push button and rubber seal, these are some really classy looking vibrators. Indented on the front is the Rocks-Off logo and “RO 90mm” so you know what the bullet is. It really is very beautiful to look at. My RO-90mm arrived in a simple plastic sleeve, with the bullet displayed prettily in the center. It was easy to open and get the bullet out, but wouldn’t be appropriate for long term storage. However, this is a beginners bullet with and RRP of only £13.99, so I don’t expect extras like storage cases to be provided. The packing is simple and stylish, it doesn’t the job nicely.
Rocks-off kindly provide the battery for you. All you need to do to get started is to unscrew the top, remove the cardboard circle that stopped the battery from running down during transit, and screw the top back on again. Make sure you screw it on tight and make a proper seal with the rubber part, because this bullet is fully waterproof if properly closed. I like for all of my toys to be fully waterproof, not just because it is nice to be able to use them in the shower, but because I feel so much more confident that I can clean them thoroughly if they are waterproof. The RO-90mm is made from ABS plastic, which is hygienic, skin-safe and perfect for transmitting intense vibrations to the clitoris or other parts of the body.
The Ro-90mm bullet vibrator is really simple to operate. All you need to do is (quite firmly) push the button at the top of the bullet and it will buzz into life. To turn it off again, simply hold down the same button for a few seconds. The vibrations sound nice and deep, not too buzzy at all which is fantastic for such an affordable bullet. The RO-90mm has 10 settings in total, and to change setting all you do is click the top button again. The first three are constant vibration that gets more intense with each button push. Setting four is a long, slow pulse, setting five is a quicker pulse and setting six is a quicker pulse again. Setting seven is a kind is jitter of very quick pulses then a slightly longer pulse, setting eight is similar but sounds a bit like a fast canter (if you’re familiar with horse movements….), nine and ten are in a similar style with slight variation. Strangely, there are no oscillating modes, which have become rather standard in most vibrators. Having said that, there are definitely enough settings to keep things interesting. My personal preference with bullet vibrators is to use the constant speeds to gradually work up to the most intense setting, which this bullet does perfectly. I also enjoy the option to progress through the pulses from slower to faster.
In use, RO-90mm bullet vibrator felt amazing. The intense, deep vibrations, applied with precision to the exact right spot on my clit brought me to orgasm with minimal effort the first time I tried it. All I needed to do was apply a small amount of water-based lube to the tip of the bullet, turn it on to the middle constant speed, and move it in circles around my clit until I found the right place to make me come. I was also happy that the vibrations are very discreet. It is on the quiet side, even on the more intense modes. No one would hear you using it behind a closed door. For a more intense, drawn-out session I played around with the settings, and found that I really enjoyed moving up through them. This kept me aroused and brought me closer and closer to orgasm until I was ready to switch back to my favourite constant speed to tip me over the edge. This is one of the reasons why I love multi-speed bullets so much; they are so versatile and can adapt to whatever kind of mood I’m in.

You can also use the RO-90mm bullet vibrator during foreplay with partner. It can be used to stimulate nipples, testicals, perinium, wherever you think might feel nice. The vibrations are really focused on the tip of the toy, so if you use the side higher up you can have a less intense experience (I find this is nicer on my nipples). Also, because the RO-90mm is fairly long, you (or a partner) can hold it quite easily during sex. I had a great time with a male partner, in the spooning position, holding the RO-90mm against my clit. The orgasm I had was fantastic! You can also use the RO-90mm as a small classic vibrator and insert it into the vagina. I love to use its pulsating patterns to tease the entrance to my vagina. If you’re new to sex this could be a non-intimidating way to get used to sensations inside your vagina.
Overall, I’m very impressed by the RO-90mm bullet vibrator. It does what it is meant to do, and it does it well! It’s very affordable, with easy to find batteries. On top of that, it’s beautiful to look at, discreet, and has 10 functions you can play with. Most importantly, it hits the right note with my clit and makes orgasms come easy. I think this bullet would be a great choice for beginners to the sex toy world, or anyone who’s yet to be impressed by bullets.
If you’d like to buy your own RO-90mm bullet vibrator you can find it here.
* I would like to thank Rocks-Off for sending me the RO-90mm bullet vibrator free of charge in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of the product.
i loved this item. However, after using it 4 or 5 times (not for a very long time, since it is quite sucessful) it stopped working. It comes on once in a while and it will not stay on. I have to keep my finger on the button. I am afraid if i order another one, it will do the same thing. Anybody knows what the issue is or what i can do? It won’t go on at all and when I try after a couple of days, it will come back on, but won’t switch the speeds or stay on. I love hat is takes a AAA battery and not those watch batteries
