The snazzy clitoral vibrator by tickler is a surprisingly powerful little toy. Its deep rumbly vibrations feel absolutely delicious transferred through its velvety soft high grade silicone. If you are a fan of powerful rumbly vibrators that you can used to cover a fairly large surface area this may be the ideal toy for you. However, it didn’t quite do it for me.

The snazzy comes in a lovely modern tube, the design is sleek and professional. However, it is quite flimsy, the top on mine caved in when I pushed on it trying to get the tube open.  Inside the tube you find the vibrator, a grey velvet storage pouch, a USB charging cable and a little instruction booklet. First impression of the snazzy are good, the silicone feels really nice to the touch and the vibrator looks well made.

To charge the snazzy clitoral vibrator up all you need to do is twist the top and bottom half apart and plug the charger into the controls end. One thing I love is that the charger is the same type as a lot of Android phones. This means I can use my phone charger to charge it when I inevitably lose the charger it came with. It’d be nice if more sex toys were designed with this kind of foresight. The other end can be plugged into any USB port. A little LED will flash when the toy is charging and stay solidly on when it is fully charged. Then you can unplug the charger and screw the two halves back together and you are ready to play!

The controls are really simple, you just press the middle button (P) to turn it on and to cycle through the settings, which are: constant speed, then three quick oscillations (it almost feels like pulsing) settings, each faster than the last. There is also a + and a – button which turn up and down the intensity. The toy comes on at the lowest intensity, and you can go up six levels. For me, intensity levels one, two and three are as intense as I want it. Above this setting the vibrations become harsh and numbing, not nice at all on my poor vulva. However, if you’re into hand-numbing power this could be right up your alley.  Hold down the P for a few seconds at any time to turn the whole toy off again. It will come back on at the lowest intensity on a constant speed. An impressive thing about the snazzy clitoral vibrator is that it is quiet, even on the higher settings I doubt anyone would hear it through a closed door.

The shape of the snazzy means you can nestle it around your clitoris nicely. It’s got a deep groove in the underside with two semi flexible wings that get tighter together towards the top. I can see it was designed with the shape of a clitoris in mind. I actually found for me it worked better with the control part down, so that I could sit the widest part over my clit and then slide it downwards so that the groove became tighter around it. However in this position it was more difficult to hold and to change the settings, which is something I like to do.

Although the vibrations were nice and rumbly and powerful, I struggled to orgasm with this toy. I think it is because I prefer pin point precision on my clit. I tried to just use the edge of the toy but it was still quite a large area of stimulation. Having said that, I did orgasm after a lot of effort and experimentation.  I found that a massaging technique works best, or using the fins to push at the sides of my clit. I think I was expecting the toy to be able to grab my clit and transfer lovely vibrations to either side of it, but that didn’t really happen. The fins were too wide apart at the bottom and too shallow at the top. However, pushing down firmly did do the trick eventually. Perhaps someone with different anatomy to my own would find the groove to be the perfect shape for them. You’re definitely more likely to get on with this toy if you like a large surface of stimulation.

The snazzy is supposed to be waterproof. However after I took it in the shower with me I unscrewed it to find some water had got inside. It’s not a large amount and the toy still works, but it does worry me. I don’t recommend submerging this toy.

Overall, the snazzy has a lot of promise: the motor is fantastic for such a small toy, the silicone is lovely and the shape is well thought out. I love that is comes with a storage pouch and that the charger is universal. This could be a great toy for people who like large areas of powerful stimulation. However, it doesn’t quite do it for me, and the water inside it after just a shower (not even a full submersion) is seriously worrying. Perhaps the shape and the feel of silicone and the power of the motor raised my expectations too high, or perhaps my clit is fussier that I thought.
