I cannot even begin to tell you how happy my vagina was to meet the We-Vibe Nova 2! It is probably the best rabbit style vibrator I have ever had the pleasure of introducing to my genitals. The powerful, rumbly motors paired with high grade silicone and a flexible shape that suits my anatomy perfectly brings me to beautifully explosive orgasm without fail. For such a unassuming size, this is an impressive feat. Oh, and it’s waterproof, so bath time just got a lot more fun.

Packaging

The We-Vibe Nova 2 comes in a lovely, stylish purple box, with an image of the vibrator on the front and a line drawing indicating various features on the the back.. The box is made from sturdy cardboard and is not too big, so could be easily used for storage. The We-Vibe Nova 2 is safely stowed in a plastic tray inside the box.

What you get in the box

Inside the box is the We-Vibe Nova 2 itself, a USB charging cable, a single sachet of pjur water based lube, an instruction manual and a lovely white satin drawstring bag (big enough to store the We-Vibe Nova 2 along with the charging cable and instructions). I really appreciate the inclusion of a storage bag and lubricant, it’s these extra little touches that make we-vibe products extra special.

Charging up

The We-Vibe Nova 2 has a magnetic charging point at at the back of its base. The USB charger snaps to it easily and I found that it stays in place without any problems (unlike some magnetic chargers where the magnet slips off easily). I plugged the other end into a USB plug for a couple of hours before first use to charge it fully (a full charge takes about 90mins). A little red LED flashes on a off just below the controls while the We-Vibe Nova 2 is charging, and stays solidly on once it is fully charged.

Shape, Features and Controls

The We-Vibe Nova 2 is made from wonderfully soft silicone in a lovely pinkish purple colour. A faint seam can be felt along the length of the toy, but you can barely notice it. The long arm of the We-Vibe Nova 2 is curved forward at quite a large angle, it begins with a narrow shaft near the base of the toy which gradually widens to a bulbous head. The longer arm of the We-Vibe Nova 2 has a joint it in near the base, which means you can adjust its distance from the smaller (clitoral) arm to perfect fit for your body. It is quite stiff to bend, so you need to apply a decent amount of force to get it to move. The benefit of it being so stiff is that it remains quite rigid when in use.

The shorter arm is curved inwards towards the larger arm and is very flexible. I can easily pull and push it back and forward. This is great for getting it in the perfect place for clitoral stimulation. The arm is quite chunky but it tapers at the end to almost a point, so you can get fairly precise stimulation. The We-Vibe Nova 2 is really well designed to fit a range of different anatomies, something I really value in a sex toy.

The We-Vibe Nova 2 has five control buttons on the lower part of the handle. Personally, I find five buttons a few too many to navigate, but if you want all the many vibration options the We-Vibe Nova 2 has, it’s necessary. Lets start with the simple controls: the + button turns the vibrations on when held down and increases the power of the vibrations when clicked. Similarly, the – button turns the vibrations off when held down and reduces the power of the vibrations when clicked. Since I’m not a fan of patterns and I want the motors in both arms to be on, these are the only controls I normally use.

The top wave looking button controls which motors are on if clicked: you can either have both on, or just one at a time. What’s great about this button is you can set the power of each motor separately, then have them both on together. For example, if I press the wave to toggle to just the clitoral arm on, I can set it to medium power vibrations using the plus key, then I can press the wave again to set the internal arm to the most powerful vibration pattern using the plus key, then if I press the wave button once more, both arms will vibrate at the power level I just set them at. This is also the button you need to hold down for 5secs to pair the We-Vibe Nova 2 with the We-Connect App.

Finally, the left and right arrow buttons control the vibration pattern mode, of which there are ten various pulses and waves to play around with. I like that you can go in both directions to change the pattern, so that if you want to return to the pattern you just had on you don’t need to click all the way around to get to it, you can just click back one. The We-Vibe Nova 2 also has a travel lock feature, to activate or deactivate it you just hold down the plus and minus buttons together for a few seconds.

You can also use your phone to control the We-Vibe Nova 2 by using bluetooth and the We-Connect App, which can be used with most We-Vibe products. You can chose to share the controls with another person’s phone using the We-Connect App meaning you can connect sexually with them where ever they are, perfect for when you are away from a partner.

Using the We-Vibe Nova 2

Firstly I used lots of water based lube all over the We-Vibe Nova 2 so that it would easily slip inside my vagina. It is quite a small and slim rabbit vibrator so I didn’t need much of a warm up beforehand. I played around a bit with the flexible shaft until it was just right for my clit and g-spot. For me, this is on the middle setting. What is really incredible about the We-Vibe Nova 2 is once you have changed the shape, the shaft is still very rigid so you can apply a decent amount of pressure to your g-spot without it bending back again. We-Vibe recommend leaving it in the same position once you have found the best shape for your anatomy, I assume this is so it doesn’t become loose and move in use.

Once the We-Vibe Nova 2 was all set up for me the flexible clitoral arm sat quite high up on my clit and the internal arm pushed in to the front wall of my vagina. The deep rumbly vibrations incased my clit externally and internally, and I rocked the We-Vibe Nova 2 back and forth inside my vagina, which applied pressed to my G-spot and rubbed my clit up and down. It wasn’t long until I had a massive and very vocal orgasm. It took a bit of practice to get my method down, this isn’t a toy you can be lazy with, but once I had got the hang of it the orgasms were reliably spectacular.

The only negative thing I have to say is the control buttons are very close together. They are impossible to see (the whole toy being one colour) and difficult to distinguish by touch alone in the heat of the moment. The best way I found to use the We-Vibe Nova 2 is to set it up before hand then keep your thumb on the increase power button (assuming you like to increase power as you masturbate) so you don’t loose it.

Clean up

The We-Vibe Nova 2 is fully water proof so can be cleaned easily using soap and warm water. Don’t use silicone based products with this toy as it could degrade the material. You can sterilise it fully if you intend to share it, using a mild bleach solution or baby bottle sterilising liquid.

Summary

I really, really like the We-Vibe Nova 2. The motors are great, and the flexible design is clever. It has all the extra luxury touches of being made of a good high quality material, being fully water proof, USB rechargeable and having a storage bag. The controls are a bit fiddly, but you can use the We-Connect App to control it from a phone, which can also be used to connect with a partner. It is on the smaller side, which I enjoy but people who like a lot of girth may find lacking. Overall, if your a fan of dual G-spot and clitoral stimulation and like rumbly vibrations, chances are you’ll love the We-Vibe Nova 2 as much as I do.
